Kinda travel-related...I drove unaccompanied for the first time ever tonight. Didn't crash either, which is a bonus.

The wife and I will be heading to Turkey tomorrow on one of those all in deals as long as we choose local produce and booze (I believe this to be more Turkish than Marmaris) and I was wondering what are the ones to avoid, as I don't really want to spend my week on the loo.

Also as you live there would you be able to give me a heads up on what not to do in ways of gesturing as different things mean different things in different countries.

I'll be honest, it wasn't great and I ended up with food poisoning.

I'm sure there are lovely places in Turkey, but I doubt I will be heading back any time soon.

I swam with Dolphins which was the best part.

There's a dolphin place here that I've been wanting to try out, but it's aimed at tourists and is therefore super-expensive. I'm waiting for them to hire me for an event so I can get it for free, because I reckon I'd like to do that, although I'm a little scared of dolphins.

Why are you scared of Dolphins?? Although saying that it is a little worrying being in the water and seeing a fin heading towards you...

Mythbusters proved that Dolphins scare sharks away...

I think I read somewhere (could very well have made this up in my head) but Dolphins actually swim right at sharks and have been known to wedge themselves in the sharks mouth and somehow suffocate them....

I thought dolphins were supposed to be clever, that's not how to give a wedgie!!

Well, it's the fact that dolphins can kill sharks and are known to be selectively very evil when they wanna be. You never know what might piss it off. What if I make a random noise that translates to "your mum is well fat" in dolphin language?

That should be fine, be careful you don't panic it could translate to "your mum is whale fat" that could turn nasty!!

Admittedly..........  

Tanzania is amazing.

Trekked Kilimanjaro...took longer than I expected.

Serengeti is breathtaking.

Dar es Salaam is a great city as long as you don't want to get anywhere by car.

Food is great, although I'm not a fan of ugali or cassava.

Some of the beaches are incredible, especially out in Zanzibar.

I love the place.

Barbados is pretty good too.
