Team for promotion attempt 2012/13
It's looking more likely all the time that we are going to go down this season. Assuming we wont sign any players during the summer due to no funds and we will have to sell players such as Samba, anyone have any thoughts on our team for next season?
Bunn
Orr- Hanley - ??? - Olsson
?? - Dunn - Petrovic - Pedersen
Goodwillie - ???
That assumes pedersen, olsson and petrovic will stay. Don't think anyone will want petrovic or goodwillie, and hopefully hanley will stay to continue his promosing development.
If olsson was sold we could have henley there, and if pedersen was sold use either olsson.
IMO not a team that would be looking at promotion...

Re: Team for promotion attempt 2012/13
Could he be in the starting line up??
According to reports Blackburn Rovers have had a £2 million offer accepted by Newcastle United for Leon Best.
The Newcastle United Blog claims there are reports suggesting that the Magpies have agreed the fee with Rovers and Scottish champions Celtic.
However, it is understood that Best is not keen on moving north of the border and it is unclear whether he will accept a drop into the Championship to join Rovers.
Rovers are on the look-out for a new striker given the expected departure of Yakubu to China.

No, but I haven't really been paying much attention to anything really for a month or so, and my head is a mess, so any bad news for any reason is really fucking with me atm.

If Queen Rat can persuade someone who was so outspoken about us needing a new manager to tow the line then what hope have we got?

I have read some of what he has come out with and he seems to be actually talking some sense! I'm getting caught up in it, but it is the first bit of common sense* that has come out of Ewood in a long while.

It seems that the Danny Murphy deal is done, he's signed for 2 years. There are also reports that Harry Kewell failed a medical and that we're interested in Dan Gosling.

Danny Murphy is a quality signing, I don't care how old he is. First thing Rovers have given me to smile about in a long time.
Glad we're not getting Kewell though.

Re: Team for promotion attempt 2012/13
I agree, he's a MUCH-needed addition to a very weak midfield, he'll sort out all those gaping holes (no jokes).
Kewell is too injury-prone and looked shit in an Aussie game I saw him play in, although it was just one game, but he looked REALLY shit. Murphy can go on for another two years easily, and hopefully after one of those we'll be back in the Prem. HOPEFULLY.

I was only making a jibe about his age cos i'm childish!!! he is a quality player and will definitely give us some much needed bite in the middle third, also it's reported we have made Leon Best an offer he will "find hard to turn down"

Danny Murphy's a done deal.
Could be a good 'un.
Problem is that cunt Kean's still lurking about.

Dunn and Murphy in the centre of midfield, they could run out of steam.

Rangers are losing quite a few players, maybe we could snaffle one or two if our manager wasn't a Celt

Looks like 35 year old Nuno Gomes is the next old boy on our radar.

Re: Team for promotion attempt 2012/13
Leon Best and Fabio Nunes having medicals, with Nuno Gomes and Adrien Silva expected to follow them to Ewood shortly. DaN Gosling wants to stay in the PL and is so far reluctant to negotiate.
