Best Torrent Sites

Renowned as the best on the web (and surrounded by controversy), here's 'The Pirate Bay' - http://thepiratebay.org/

Another good site, reliable and easy to navigate, here's 'Mininova' - http://www.mininova.org/

If you can't be arsed to go to different sites trying to locate torrents (that really can be ANYWHERE on the web), then try http://www.torrentz.com/ , which is a search engine that searches around twenty five torrent sites for whatever it is you may be looking for. However, be careful which torrent site you select because certain ones ask you to sign up. If they do, just select another site, because whatever it is you're looking for, there's absolutely no need to sign up to ANY site to find it.

Once you've downloaded the selected torrent, open it up from your 'downloads' file (based within your browser, whichever one it may be), and it will automatically open up in uTorrent. uTorrent will then ask you "do you want to make uTorrent the default program for this file type?", you should then click (or check the box that says) "yes", and you're sorted.

If using http://www.torrentz.com/, use keywords like "dvdrip" to find 'DVD quality' copies of films, and "mp3" to find, well...mp3s.

Other keywords that people find helpful when searching for films are, "axxo", "hdrip" or "brdrip", the last two relating to HD rips and Blu-ray rips. But unless you know a fair bit, you'll struggle to actually play a Blu-ray rip after you've downloaded it. Again, any help needed, just ask.

Yuck! Vuze (formerly known as 'Azureus') is a horrible program and full of bugs and viruses. Personally I wouldn't recommend using it, but it's down to each person, I guess.

Ive never had a problem with either Azureus or Vuze. Limewire however game me over 30,000 trojan viruses at once plus some other shite which forced a complete computer rebuild

i, personally, like demonoid. it has a closed registration, so there's not a bunch of dumbass people fuck'n everyone's day up. sorta pointless to tell ya'll though...as i have used all my invites.

there's also FAR better methods for downloading other than torrents. i'm talking EVERYTHING i download goes between 1 and 3 mb/s

I used to use a closed registration site, but I somehow forgot the password to it (strange since I use 'rovers1983' for everything) and I couldn't retrieve it.

What are people using instead of Pirate Bay at the minute, I tend to use MNOVA (of the Torrentz referred clients) but not everything is available there...
