Willy wrote:The Brummie and Scouse accents are the least desirable in the UK - fact. Call centres have closed and relocated due to poor sales because people don't want a Scouse or Brummie calling them and trying to sell them something (not that they want ANYONE doing that). The most popular accents are from the north east. People say the Geordie accent is "relaxing and friendly", and sales soar when call centres relocate to Newcastle and the Tyne area.
The Burnley accent is different depending on where you come from in Burnley. Some of them are wannabe Mancs, and for some reason exaggerate the Burnleyness and add some Manc to it. Rather irritating.
I agree with that, but only when the Geordie in question is a woman. Geordie blokes sound as bad as Scousers.
I hate the Burnley accent in the link below, although it's made even worse by the guy only having about four teeth left:

Re: Stiff Stakes
I'm stiff right now. I woke up horny as a beyatch, and the only woman here is the cleaning lady (who's 62), but I've been flirting with her on the off-chance she MIGHT just let me shag her while the house is empty.

Re: Stiff Stakes
Her skin is really clean. She don't look 62. She told me her youngest son is 38, that's ten years older than me...lololololol
I really would do her, though.

Re: Stiff Stakes
At 62, barely!!
Why opt for a tit wank, at 62 there must be a fair amount on the hang

She has smooth as fuck tits, I saw them through the long hospital-type overalls she's wearing. My girlfriend just got back, yet I still wanna shag the helper. :/

Friend of mine moved back there last year, how big is the place. Sorry if that seems ignorant.

Re: Stiff Stakes
Not ignorant at all, I only knew what songs and Wiki said about Kingston before I got here. It's big, but it's spread out, lots of mountains. In the more central areas it's really concentrated, very overpopulated. A huge concentration of celebs here, and you bump into them all the time. It's not like England or the U.S. where people go mad for celebrities, all the screaming and creaming. Not like that here at all. People here are too proud to allow a celeb the ego-trip of anything like that. It's more a case of, "Yo, Damian Marley, wah gwaan bredrin?", laid back stuff.
As for the areas themselves, they're very segregated, a huge class divide and it's hard to deal with (in terms of guilt, for me personally anyway), because as a white or even a light-skinned person it means you have money. If you have money here you live like a king, seriously. If you don't then you're fucked, there's no inbetween. Who's your friend and where does he live in Kingston? Chances are I'll know him.

Re: Stiff Stakes
A live-in helper. She just started today, it costs about forty quid for the full week, so divided by three people that's not really a lot considering she will do all the cleaning and most of the cooking. I'm still NOT rich.

Not sure if this will work as a written question?
Which Scottish footballer holds the record for caps as captain of Celtic and the National side and his father was Jamaican?
