I don't know the whole Vinay history but how can anyone garner positive feelings toward a team like City when what they are doing is so "anti-football"? Even over a team like Man U (whom I have little love for).

I disagree, in fact the year Blackburn "bought" the title I recall a stat that they were only the 4th highest spending team in the league. It's not ALL about spending the money, but how it's spent...

You are right RtS, but the way the media jumped on it it would appear we spent heads and shoulders above the rest, whereas I think Utd spent so much more than us.

Many clubs spent big that season, and this was back in the day where a 9th placed finish for Arsenal or Chelsea was seen as a successful year. Rovers came from nowhere and dominated, people don't like that kinda thing.
