Fuck me thanks lads.
Only just seen this and it's a bit sort of well you know "nice".
Anyway I spent the day like this. Got up and had a bacon butty breakfast prepared for me by Mrs Rover. (Rare treat here lack of pig n' all). Then met friends at 9.30 and went for a 16km walk passing historic sitesalong the coast. Finished up at a place called Aperlai accessible only by boat and having the local head of the coastguard with us he phoned them to pick us up in their high speed boat. Right good ride back to base, one beer, and then home to Slam in the Lamb prepared by Mrs Rover with a decent bottle of red and a good film which I'll report on elsewhere.
Being 54 was never so good.

Seeing as they don't really 'do' bacon there, with it being a Muslim country and all, what did it taste like? And how did you get it? I can't imagine it'd be that clever.
And that "slam in the lamb" really did sound like your wife let you give her a good 'porking' since it was your birthday. That's how I read it anyway...all due respect.

Certain licensed outlets for pork products here, the nearest one is in Fethiye which is an hour and a half away, we don't go out of our way to get it but if we're there anyway...
It's surprisingly good actually.
